Acupuncture in Horsham is a growing healthcare treatment. Both Acupuncture and Herbal medicine are strands of Traditional Chinese Medicine that originated in China and other far eastern cultures, where it still features in mainstream healthcare, both as stand-alone therapies and in combination with conventional western medicine.
Lavina discovered the benefits of acupuncture and herbal medicine for herself back in 2002 when a stressful City career resulted in symptoms of general ill health for which she sought help. She was so impressed with the results that she left the City and retrained as both acupuncturist and herbalist, qualifying in 2005 and 2007, respectively. She spent six years working in London clinics before relocating to West Sussex with her husband James and their two young children in 2011.
"I can honestly say that I have never looked back since leaving the City. Every day I feel privileged to be able to help so many people on their road to health & wellbeing."
Lavina is a member of both the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Register of Chinese Herbs (RCHM). As such, she adheres to strict guidelines concerning safe needling practice and the use of approved suppliers for herbs (no animal products are approved for use by RCHM members in the UK).

Sarah is a Licensed Five Elements and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist with a Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.
Sarah came from a background of event planning that was highly stressful at times and would often have an impact on her health. In 2018 she received acupuncture treatment from Lavina and was blown away with the results! She soon noticed how she was sleeping better and became more aware of her own health and wellbeing. A year later, she took a leap of faith to retrain as an acupuncturist and has never looked back.
With a particular interest in how acupuncture can benefit our mental and emotional health, Sarah has witnessed many times in her patients how acupuncture has supported those who are suffering from depression, fear, and anxiety, to name a few. Her approach is to look at the mind, body and spirit of the person she is treating and will aim to get to the root of the individual's illness.
Sarah is also certified as a Facial Enhancement practitioner and has great delight in seeing the visible and internal benefits that cosmetic acupuncture can bring for facial rejuvenation.
A member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC), Sarah is committed to lifelong learning through continuing professional development.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is based on the concepts of Yin and Yang.
It aims to understand and treat the ways in which the balance and harmony between the two may be undermined and the ways in which a person's Qi or vitality may be depleted or blocked.
Clinical strategies are based upon diagnosis of patterns of signs and symptoms that reflect an imbalance.
Traditional acupuncture & herbal medicine aims to treat the whole person. Many people come to acupuncture for help with specific symptoms or to relieve specific pains.
Some use acupuncture because they feel generally unwell but have no obvious diagnosis. Others choose acupuncture simply to enhance their feeling of wellbeing.
