Frequently asked massage questions

No, you don't need to undress for a massage if you are not comfortable doing so. Most massage therapists will use sheets and blankets to fully cover your body during the session. Depending on the type of massage and techniques used, you may be asked to expose part of your body while they work on that area, such as when working with facial massages or reflexology. You should also feel free to ask your therapist if it's okay for them to work through clothing, although this would lessen the effectiveness of certain types of massages like deep tissue or Swedish massage. No matter what type of massage treatment is being done, always remember that you are in control and can stop or modify the session at any time if something makes you uncomfortable or doesn't feel right. It is important for you to feel safe and relaxed throughout your experience!

How often you should get a massage depends on your individual needs and preferences. Generally, it's suggested that people receive massages at least once per month to maintain good physical and mental health. Many people find weekly or bi-weekly massages beneficial for their well-being. Massage can help reduce stress levels, improve blood circulation, alleviate pain caused by injury or chronic illnesses, and assist with muscle tension relief. If you have specific goals in mind when getting a massage (such as reducing anxiety or overcoming insomnia), then it may be recommended that you get regular massages more frequently until those goals are met. Ultimately, the decision on how often to book a massage rests solely with each individual person depending on their lifestyle and needs.

Massage therapy has a number of health benefits. It can help reduce stress, relax the muscles, improve circulation and posture, decrease pain, relieve tension headaches and migraines, heal injuries faster and enhance overall physical well-being. It is also known to improve mental well-being by helping with relaxation and reducing anxiety levels. Additionally, massage can give an emotional boost that aids in emotional healing. Regular massage treatments offer many physical and emotional benefits, which are important for overall health and general well-being. Furthermore, there is no need to undress completely if one is not comfortable with it - sheets will be used to cover your body while the treatment is being done, so you don't have to worry about feeling exposed or uncomfortable during your session. Massage treatments are suitable for everyone regardless of age or fitness level, as they provide lasting relief from numerous ailments, including muscle tension and stress-related problems, as well as promoting a healthier lifestyle in general. Ultimately having a massage means taking time out for yourself - something fairly precious these days.
